We want to share a heartwarming update with you, highlighting the profound impact your support has on the lives of Heroes like 20-year-old Kade McCarty.

Kade is an incredible young man who, at the age of 19, was thrown from his vehicle, leaving him without the use of his legs. We had the opportunity to meet Kade’s grandfather, Ross, at the Hunter’s Extravaganza this summer. We knew right away that we needed to get Kade out to Heroes Ranch.

Last week, this became a reality when Kade and Ross came to the ranch, providing us with an experience we’ll never forget. At Heroes Ranch, they not only utilized adaptive equipment in our outdoor environment but also became part of a supportive community within our team. They connected with a mentor, friend, and role model, Elisio Matos, one of our favorite ranch alumni and fellow Hero. The connections formed during this challenging journey have been invaluable.

We received a touching message from Kade’s Grandfather, Ross, expressing gratitude for the incredible experiences Kade had during his stay.

During their time here, Kade's laughter and smile spoke volumes about the healing that takes place at Heroes Ranch. As they left, Kade's emotional farewell emphasized the deep connections formed.

Ross told us that Kade has enthusiastically shared his experiences with friends, from hunting and shooting to fishing and even Wayne's egg-frying skills (or lack thereof). The memories created at Heroes Ranch have become an integral part of his story.

And that, my patriotic friends, is exactly why we do what we do.
